Helloo!~ How was everyone’s new year celebration?
Over the past year, I’ve had lots of time to think about where I’d like to visit in the next few years (or whenever time allows, really). I’ve composed a list of my current top choices of places to visit – and I’m going to tell you all about them!
This one may seem sort of obvious, as it’s a pretty common destination for people who would like to visit Machu Piccu. While this is very high on my list of things to do in Peru, there are others things that make up the whole amazing experience! First of all, the whole country is gorgeous, and you all know how much I love to hike.
For example, have you heard of Peru’s Rainbow Mountain?
And I mean, of course I want to visit Machu Piccu – the site is beautiful, and the hike up is so unique.
But here’s the part I’m most excited about – there are llamas all over the hike! They’re so used to people walking around that they’re super friendly.
Machu Picchu stands 2,430 m above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Peru has a lot to offer, and I can’t wait to visit someday.
Everyone knows Costa Rica is beautiful – its amazing landscapes, the rainforest, the fauna. Consider, for example, the hikes going through the rainforest:
And the animals in the rainforest – I can’t wait to see them someday!
Essentially, my ideal trip to Costa Rica just involves a lot of hiking and nature watching. Aaaah can’t wait. <3
I’ve wanted to visit New Zealand since I was about 10 years old, about the time that I discovered its beautiful mountains and landscapes. (And no, it has nothing to do with LOTR being filmed there, haha). Fun fact, there’s a chance I may go there on exchange this year! Ahh!
Anyway – firstly, let’s talk about the beautiful mountains all over the country, which makes for beautiful hiking. For example, a beautiful hike in New Zealand is the Fox Glacier – tall mountains, covered in snow, which some ice formations. And, not to mention, lots of room for lead climbing!

And have you heard of the Waitomo caves -they’re covered in glow worms, making for a gorgeous walk through them.
Lastly, the country is covered in gorgeous beaches, freshwater and salt.
A wonderful example is Piha beach –
The beach is covered in hot, black sand, which lovely rock formations and welcoming waters.
Anyhow – I’ll go there one day, for sure. For now, it’s off to Thailand in May, another dream come true!
